very good

sounds very similiar to the lest rendition (which isn't a bad thing), and anything new was welcome. Your clean tone sounded great too. My only gripe is that you faded it out at the end, I think you could have worked with what you had going there a little more.

in fact, it seems like you fade out a lot of your songs... lol whatever, they're your songs not mine. :D

Xenogenocide responds:

Take it as an indication that I am still currently adding to this :P

I intend for it to be atleast around the 10 minute marker, but it's a great start that I'm already at 5 mins so far xD

It's not your software...

You really need to just both improve your guitar playing and your mixing, because this really isn't your software's fault. An okay attempt, but hearing your amp buzzing at the beginning of the song just totally put me off right away. get rid of the buzzing, and double-track your rhythm guitar, panned to each side, then it will sound a bit better. Put your lead closer to the middle, and it will sound even better. I'd suggest you that you do some drum work too; I used to record without any drums at all too, but when you add drums it really helps define the guitar playing better and help keep a rhythm when you're recording, because a metronome just really isn't good enough.

Other than that, just practice practice practice, so you guitar playing improves, and keep rocking the video game covers (and maybe even your own stuff eventually! :D).

AVDragon responds:

thanks for the feedback, yeah this program i had to record it on my computer really sucks, and it has a delay when I record, it was some cheap thing that came with the usb guitar cord I got. I really dont have any recording software and dont have the money for any. I am still going through Chemotherapy so my muscles in my hands are still weak. They got eaten away a couple years ago from chemo and I am just starting back on guitar.

sweet.

haha, love the victory fanfare at the end, makes it even better than the original.

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks!

awesome!

Sauerbraten is a great game, and I always loved the music in it. :D

nice

this would be great with some guitar over it, but I think that you repeat the same thing a few too many times over and over, you need to get some variations, add some tom fills every once in a while, or extra little cymbal crashes, just so it doesn't sound like a broken record.

heavyg617 responds:

word..i know what your saying..thank you for th feedback everyhting was apreciated

Oh my god.

This is my favorite song out of all of yours. The demo you made already made me shit a brick, and this is even better, it's a huge improvement on both the songs that it incorporates parts from. Sounds like you re-learned the solos pretty damn well :D

Not bad.

Bring up the bass a bit more, and the drums need a bit more punch to go better with the synths. Other than that, it's pretty good.

Much better!

this is a lot better than your original, it's so much more polished. I like how you started it out. "aw, shit..."

Metaljonus responds:

Haha thanks!

not bad

Guitar tone was really heavy though, and made the song sound a lot more heavy metal as opposed to punk rock, but I like metal so that's why I'm giving good reviews. Nice work, your style is great.

BERSERKYD responds:

Thanks man ! I Appreciate that you love this punk/metal mixe !

good!

Your guitar tone is interesting; it's very fuzzy, which gives it an unusual texture during melody parts, but it doesn't muddy up the palm muted parts, and they still have a nice hard attack to them. it also loops very well, which can be considered a plus.

Good work, I need a drum VST...
